Steve, owner of Center Grove Orchard in Cambridge, Iowa, purchased one of our reclaimed cabin shells as part of an effort to expand the orchard while preserving the historic character of the farm. He wanted an authentic pioneer-style dovetail cabin similar to what might have stood on the property when the land was first settled. We restored and modified the cabin, shipped it to the orchard, and assembled the structure on site with custom dormers and a wraparound porch. The finished cabin blends naturally into the landscape and has become a favorite photo spot for visitors.
