1200 Sq Ft Modified Reclaimed Timber Frame Barn

Dave approached us with a challenge: he wanted a reclaimed timber frame barn for his Nantucket property, but strict space constraints meant the structure had to match an existing set of architectural plans exactly. We sourced a historic white oak barn built by the Priest family in Ohio and modified the frame to fit the required footprint. After restoring the timbers in our shop in Cedar Falls, the frame was shipped to Nantucket and ferried across the water to the job site. Reclaimed flooring, roof decking, and wall cladding carry the character of the original barn throughout the finished building.
